OVERVIEW

In November 1988 I was appointed as an authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant by the then Minister of State for Justice … Mr. Michael Tate.

I offer a range of ceremonies to celebrate rites of passage, joy, hope, thankfulness, passion, compassion and human values.

I am a Member of Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants Inc. and Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of Victoria Inc.

I live at Mt. Martha on the Mornington Peninsula 65 kms south from Melbourne. The Nepean Highway provides a direct route. (Click here for a copy of Melway 150 F4 highlighting our residence in Barrow Street)

HISTORY

Roger was born in Armadale, Victoria and was raised in the suburb of Glen Iris. He entered Teachers’ College in 1958 and remained in the primary education service for the next thirty five years working in Victoria and East Africa.

Roger thrives on being a Civil Celebrant. Ceremonies are pitched at the needs and wishes of the clients. There is variety in choices and options. Each ceremony is scripted. There is little or no “ad lib”. Each ceremony is presented as “this is the first time I have done a ceremony”. His registered business name is “THE CEREMONIAL OCCASION” and his marketing line is “I marry people”.

Interests, hobbies and passions are international and national travel, live theatre, and magic - either as a student, collector or peformer.
